The Second Law of Thermodynamics
In ten videos we explore the second law. The series starts by presenting the second law and entropy in an accessible, including how anyone ever figured it out. Then looks at how the second law shapes engineered objects: from air conditioning to engines. It then shows some of the more exotic uses of the 2nd law by taking a deep look at Gibbs Paradox, statistical definitions of entropy by Boltzman, its use (& possible abuse) in information theory, brownian ratchets, apparent perpetual motion machines, look a little bit at non-equilibrium thermo including dissipative structure and the role it plays in high energy physics and cosmology.
